Reverend James A. McDevitt,
Weekend Assistant
Reverend James A. McDevitt has served as a weekend assistant at St. Thomas More since 2001 and Our Lady of Mercy since 2007. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Bridgeport in 1990. He served in parishes in Bridgeport, Norwalk and Stamford before becoming a Chaplain for the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons.
He has served at the Federal Correctional Insititution in Danbury, Ct, the Federal Correctional Complex in Allenwood, Pa. and is currently assigned to the Federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY. Father Jim resides in Brooklyn, NY.
